Radiohead has a new album out. Normally this wouldn’t be so terribly newsworthy…they’re a prolific band and even though their music is sweet, it’s usually not so earth-shattering as to be reported on kirkhamdotcom. But this new album stands apart from the rest; it is being sold exclusively online for…whatever you choose to pay. That’s right, you could pay nothing or $1000 (or 1000 pounds in this case) for a perfectly legit Radiohead album. I followed Clay’s example and compensated Radiohead to the tune of 2 pounds and couldn’t be more pleased.

It’s appealing to think that Radiohead is sticking it to the man and I’m helping and there’s nothing illegal or morally reprehensible about it. Some people bitched about the middling quality of the mp3s, but I find it hard to complain about a donation-sponsored piece of work that, by the way, sounds pretty good after a first listen. I especially liked the first track “15 step” — good beats. Go ahead and get it for yourself and let me know what you think.
