Halloweenformation

If you’re like me then you’ve probably waited at least this long to start thinking in earnest about your Halloween costume. In these situations I find it’s sometimes best to anticipate what others will wear before deciding for yourself. This may look like a difficult proposition on the outset, but let me point out a few rules of thumb…

1. Girls may hem and haw and come up with some really neat ideas, but ultimately they’ll decide for something scandalous/trashy/revealing. You can bet you’ll see some of these out on Franklin St.

2. Guys are a tad more difficult, but you can knock out 50% of this part of the population with costumes based on popular movies in the last year (crappier movie = more likely costume).
3. Couples *love* to dress up for Halloween in pairs. If you’re a guy planning a unique costume, make sure you tic the box beside “no obvious female counterpart”. If, on the other hand, you’re on the prowl for a new lady, the opposite strategy could bear fruit.

With these tidbits in mind it should be easier to come up with a sweet costume idea. What will your costume be?
