Definition: verb to speak or write verbosely and windily

Quotation: “You gave a speech in Denver–good speech by the way–but you bloviated about McCain not following them [the Taliban] to the cave.” - Bill O’Reilly

I had never even heard of “bloviate” until Papa Bear dropped it ever so casually whilst alternately praising and scolding Obama in his interview. I can just imagine O’Reilly writing up his little opening on the Taliban question and pulling out the trusty thesaurus to get “bloviate” because, seriously, where else does one find that word?
